Cool or Trashy?
Today, school was normal for the most part. You go to school, learn, socialize, go to practice, come home, eat, text, get on Facebook, do your homework, yada yada yada. But today, there were a few other things that happened that really made me stop and think. When kids come home from school, they usually tell their parents what happened at school that day. In elementary school they say, "Today we learned about multiplying and a girl in my class got put in time-out." In middle school, being in 8th grade, I tell my mom, "There was a black against white fight, people got caught smoking weed, and a girl got beat with a baseball bat." I hate telling my parents that these things happen at my school because it makes it seem like it's horrible when it's really not. These things happen because certain people hangout with the wrong crowds. They think, "Oh, cussing and fighting make me look cool." What they don't know is that it makes them look trashy instead of "cool". A couple of days ago, a girl on the softball team got beat with her own bat by a guy that she accidentally bumped into in the hallway. What do you think of this? What do you think his punishment should be? What would you do if that was your child? At dismissal today, there was a HUGE black against white fight. I think it is SO stupid for people to fight. Especially for no reason at all. Also, ten 13 & 14 year old guys got caught smoking weed behind the school building. These kids are just wasting their lives away and that's the one thing they don't realize. In a couple of years, they aren't going to look like the young guys they are. They are going to look like nasty, old men. Nobody wants to even be around people like that. What do you think of these things that happen at my school? What do you think the consequences should be? What do you think of guys at the age of 13 & 14 years old smoking weed and wasting their lives away? What do you think we could do to get them on the right path?Do you think this makes kids look cool or trashy? Let me know!

Randi Evans; Confessions of a Teenage Cheerleader.
As you probably read in my about me, my name is Randi Evans. I'm in the 8th grade at Semmes Middle School where I am the cheerleading captain. When people hear the word "cheerleader" or "cheerleading captain", they think of this preppy girl who doesn't care about anybody but herself, but that's not me, and that's not who I want to be. I cheer because it's my life. I talk to anybody & everybody. There's nothing I hate more than a liar. I can't stand them. The Saints & Auburn are my favorite football teams. Guy basketball is WAY more exciting than girl basketball. Eminem is the greatest rapper alive. Converse are my favorite. I couldn't live without music. It explains things words can't. I'm currently learning how to play the guitar. I'm a huge fan of Justin Bieber! My favorite color is orange. I love going to the river and hanging out with friends. I'm an A student, and I tend to keep it that way. Math is my weakness. Especially algebra. Science is my best subject. I don't really like reading, but when I do get a good book I never stop reading it. I love scary movies, & my biggest pet peeve is feet! I always have a smile on my face, no matter what's going on. I can make somebody laugh in a heartbeat. I'm very ticklish and I trip over everything. That's pretty much my life, anything else you wanna know? Just ask. (:
